Select Jazz reeds have the thickest reed heart and table of all Rico Jazz reeds.
The tip of the leaf has a traditional shape. The Select Jazz Cut offers excellent projection, focus and a dark sound. They are available “filed” and “unfiled”.
With a range of one-third thicknesses as opposed to half-lengths, musicians can choose the most precise thickness for their particular instrument.
The Select Jazz reeds offer the thickest spine and neck of D’Addario’s Jazz reed range combined with a traditionally shaped reed tip.
The cut of the Select Jazz reeds offers excellent projection, a clear sound and a fat sound.
The sheets are available as Filed variant (French cut) and Unfiled variant. The sheets are offered in one-third thicknesses (instead of half thicknesses).
This way, musicians can choose the exact strength for their particular instrument.
